Christmas 2009

Here are some highlights from Christmas. It was definetly a Dora & Diego Christmas for Kamryn and Christian. The kids were so into Santa and couldn't get enough of him. We explained that Aanta would bring Christian a choo choo train and he would bring Kamryn a Dora doll. Christian insisted that the Christmas lights were turned on if me or Dan forgot and he would always point first to the tree and then to our fireplace wreath.

Kamryn is ALWAYS pushing Christian away or trying to place peoples hands where she wants them to get what she wants. Its pretty funny. Usually Christian is minding his own business and she tries to push him away. He is usually not bothering her. USUALLY

So when all else fails...if the pushing doesn't work...might as well make sure his belly
button is still there.

Look what Santa brought..

No matter that Santa brought 3 Dora dolls and so much other Dora stuff it doesn't hold a candle to cardboard wrapping paper tubes.

First Sleds!! (love the look of impending doom on Christian's face)

Baby Tyler's first Christmas!

The kids love to play the piano at Uncle Mike & Aunt Joanne's house!

Kamryn must have pushed her dad off the bench.

And little miss Bossy Boss just kept on pushing until she had the piano all to herself.

Our stockings hung by the chimney with care.

Visit with Santa

Dan's work hosts a breakfast with Santa every year. There is such a difference between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 with these kinds of things. One year olds are kind of oblivious and 2 year olds definitely are more aware of what is going on... sometimes more so than adults. So here is Santa..

Kamryn was pretty excited to go up. She kinda marched right up and wanted to sit on his lap.

Christian...not so much.

This is pretty surprising considering this is totally the opposite of who they are in real life. Christian is the risk taker , laid back and always laughing. Kamryn is overly cautious, every move methodicaly planned out, hesitant with everything. Both kids loved the toys that Santa brought them. Christian got a latch/puzzle board and Kamryn got a dolly that she can dress and undress and put to sleep in her crib. See ya next year Santa!

Halloween 2009

Kamryn and Christian were Raggedy Ann & Raggedy Andy for Halloween. I have had this planned since last year when I tried to find costumes but the kids were too little. I figured this was my last chance to decide their costumes for them. I am sure next year they will have their own ideas. They were so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We trick or treated at Grandma and Grandpa's where we met up with baby Tyler dragon. I can't believe that my camera disappeared for 10/31 and I found it the next day. Luckily my parents took lots of pictures.

I love how Tyler is checking out Raggedy Ann...

...and then Raggedy Andy.

so CUTE!!

After we trick or treated at Grandma and Grandpa's we went back to Buffalo to trick or treat at Grandma Carroll's house and met up with Uncle Fred & Aunt Lynn. We had such a great Halloween and the kids had fun. I will never be without a camera on Halloween again!! Wish I had more pics to post.

OBX PIX

This is Christian's first time touching sand. It didn't go so well. The kids did not like touching dry sand but they loved walking in wet sand where they could see their footprints.

It didn't go very much better for Kamryn either.

Just when they were okay walking in the sand we tried to add walking in the sand and water. No takers with that either.

Kamryn and Grandpa.

Kamryn discovering her shadow.

All of this fighting and resisting sand can tire a kid out.

We LOVE naptime!!

Kamryn loved baby Tyler's bouncy seat. She would sit and then throw herself backwards and squeal with delight. We had to start hiding it from her.

The kids finally got the concept of wearing sunglasses and loved them!!

Peek a Boo

Naptime for Jess & baby Tyler

Dan had more fun building sandcastles than the kids. The kids were not interested at all.

Both kids loved having free roam and walking all over the beach.

Trying to get a Christmas card picture always turns out like this.

We had the best best best time in the Outerbanks with my parents , Biss & Jess and baby Tyler. The kids made great progress with their speech being around Jessie and their grandparents. We would love to go back every summer, and just might have to find a way to make that happen. Its such a great place to relax and spend time with family unless you are my mom who did most of the cooking and cleaning. Thanks mom & dad for one of the best vacations ever!!
