What's Cookin'?

So since I do such a fantastic job doing frequent updates on this blog ( ha-ha) I decided to start another one. Its in blog form I guess but its really just a place for me to keep my recipes in one place since I dont have the time to hand write or dig thru my clippings books and papers when I want to make something. My favorite things I can just keep on a page to pull up and include pics. So we will try it out. I will put a link on the top of my side bar if you are interested to see What's Cookin at the Carroll's.

Introducing Dominic Kevin Golder...the newest member of our family.

Surprise Surprise...a week ago today baby Dominic decided to make an early appearance while his family was camping at Allegheny. He was born on March 22 about 5:30 a.m. weighing 6 lbs 8 oz and about 19 inches long. He is perfect from head to toe and has a whole lotta hair for being over three weeks early. His hair sticks up in the back like his dad's-its the best. Dominic is the teeniest baby I have had the pleasure to hold to date. You can tell he is taking it all in. He is just amazing...and he has made Dan a GREAT UNCLE!!. Dominic's mom is Dan's niece Donna. We are so thrilled that he is here!! He has been worth the wait. So now the twins have a little male friend on each side. Kamryn will need a hockey stick after all...

This little piggy....

So Kamryn & Christian have gorgeous personalized piggy banks that I received as baby shower presents. They were a gift from their Uncle Mike, Aunt Joanne, & cousins Michael & Mary. I love them and I know when they grow up, they will too and they will definitely get put to good use.

However I think we will be purchasing a set of these so they can really learn about $$$$. The piggy bank of the 21st century. I have known I wanted to do a spend/save/donate plan with them when they get old enough. I thought I would use envelopes until I came across this. I wasn't planning on using the investing so much...I think when you are six or seven those 3 categories will have your head spinning so I guess we can always add the investing in at some point.

Until that day comes....or until that year comes...here is thier current favorite piggy...
Until maybe tomorrow. Coming in a close second to the above piggy is thier very own little piggies. They love to look at thier own piggies and here "This little piggy went to market" And then they will grab mine and Dan's toes and pretend to do it to us.
