Pumpkins

Here are the pumpkins that Dan and I carved. Dan claims this is the first pumpkin he has ever carved!!!!! Can you believe has lived 38 years and and has never touched cold slimy pumpkin guts. Now he can check that off his list. We could have carved all five of our pumpkins for all five of us but these two really sapped us out. Dan --because carving your first pumpkin is hard work and me--because I thought I was Joe pro carver and did a fancy pants one. Dan did the face and I did the spider. It was worth all the work though. We think they turned out pretty cool.

Rocky & Banana

This past Saturday we went to a Halloween party at Roy 's(Dan's best friend) sister's house. She has a pole barn and it was decorated to the hilt and divided in half-one side for the food and one side for the band. When we went costume shopping we walked in and Dan immediately spotted what he wanted to be-Rocky Balboa. I wasn't so lucky. I knew the things I didn't want to be. So between what I didn't want to be, the fact the store was closing in five minutes and I had to decide and the babies were fussy because they wanted bottles and bed -A Banana it was. And it was worth it because besides having no peripheral vision, I was so comfy. Rocky Balboa -prize fighter and a banana. Trick or Treat.

Dans robe said "Balboa" on the back and his boxing trunks were red white and blue.

Here is Roy and his girlfriend Deb. Devil and Angel
This was my favorite costume. Here is Sue & John-the hosts of the party. I love thier viking costumes. They looked so great.
I dont know who this is but I loved his costume too. It was so funny. Look at the top of the picture where his head is peeking out. So the Rast guys face is really his chest so he looked like a short Rasts guy with a huge head. So cool. We had a great time and can't wait until the next one.

All things Carroll Crew

So I love to read blogs. Anyones blog. I just think they are really interesting. I read ALOT of them. So many that I found this cool website http://wordle.net/ and I lost track of where i got it so I cant give that person the proper credit. So I am bordering on bloggerism (kinda like plagiarism). This is worth it though because its so neat. You go to this website and you can either just type words or put it your your blog address and abracadbra--

Just click on the image above to view it full size. And I dont know why but everytime I typed Dan it wouldnt show up so Danny it is. So this is what is going on with us now and I think I will make a new one every so often when things change.

Pumpkin Patch

So to celebrate our 6th anniversary on Sunday we took off for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with my brother and sister-in-law and thier little pumpkin who will make his debut in February. The whether was hot-not really pumpkin patch weather and because of this we waited in heavy stand still traffic coming and going from this popular Great Pumpkin Farm. We had a great time-as usual when I am with my brother I end up laughing until I almost pee my pants. That day was no exception. I really wanted corn stalks to decorate my porch. They were TALL. So, having the babies we couldnt pack them in our car--so I volunteered him. They were so tall they extended the whole length of his truck and he had to drive with them on his head as well as between him and Jessie. At one point when they were following us home they stuck them out the window but I didnt get to see this. It really was so funny. After the pumpkin patch visit and the obstructed vision drive home Pat and Jessie were nice enough to babysit for us so we could enjoy our anniversary dinner and the Left Bank. So after we drove by it a couple of times, rolled up our windows and locked our doors-we enjoyed a DELICIOUS dinner and it was the perfect ending to a fun and crazy day.

Here is Pat & Jessie -my brother and sister in law, our entertainment, photographers, and best buds

Kamryn picking out her pumpkin.

Could they be any cuter?

Fears

So I have been on a little blogging hiatus but now I am and promise to be better than ever. I guess every baby has its own set of fears. Kamryn has a whole laundry list all her own. Christian is pretty laid back but he does have a short list that I wanted to share with you.

Christian's fears to date:
  1. Elevators
  2. The Hokey Pokey
