Welcome to our blog

I have been wanting to start this blog for awhile now for two reasons. The first, to keep our friends and family up to speed on what is going on in our daily life raising our twins Kamryn and Christian. And the second and most important, I wanted to do it for myself to chronicle our family life and be able to look back and "remember when..." I had always intended to start the kids scrapbooks as most first moms do. I have diligently saved this date and this picture and will put them together eventually...This just seemed more in the now and really what I needed. The count down has begun to our babies first birthday. In one month they will turn a year old. One year ago I was washing newborn clothes and wondering -because twins sometimes come early-Is today going to be the day we will welcome our babies into the world? Will today be the day that finally we will have to decide on some names? Will today be the day that Dan frantically runs around making arrangements for Cooper, packing up the car, making phone calls and leaves for the hospital in such a frenzy he doesnt realize that I am not in the passenger seat like we laughed about so many times?
Today as I am working on planning their birthday party I realize that I have forgotten things I thought I would NEVER forget. So here I am with so many milestones ahead and things to document and discover. I guess its never too late.

Christian started occupational therapy today. He was evaluated almost two months ago. The therapist was thrilled with the progress he has made on his own since the evaluation. He is cruising along and I think we can call today his first official day that he started crawling. Before she got to our house today I was thinking to myself-wow he really has his tummy off the floor and his knees are goin.

He is so confident that he pulls himself up to stand and he thinks that's pretty cool. Today he fell forward right on his face though and low and behold -he got a bloody nose -poor buddy. He also is doing physical therapy and part of that is using an exercise ball like the kind an adult would use to do crunches. The mere sight of the ball sends Kamryn into hysterics. She doesn't want to have anything to do with the ball and will only calm down if it is far removed from the room. And we thought the bathtub was bad.
